A blind spot is the part of the road that is out of the driver's field of vision because it cannot be seen through mirrors or windows.
In general, the taller and longer a vehicle is, the greater the blind spots.
WHERE ARE THE BLIND SPOTS?
Blind spots are found around a vehicle, but their dimensions and location vary by vehicle type. The main blind spots are in the front, rear and sides of the vehicle.
In Trucks:
Front: The longer the hood, the greater the blind spot. Even a small car can hide there.
To the Sides: Since visibility to the sides is limited by blind spots, the driver must rely solely on their rear view mirrors.
At the rear: the rear blind spot is very long. You must remain alert when a truck is backing up.
